    LONG COURSE INTERMEDIATE ZILL

    Long Course classes are 12-13 weeks long and focus on more advanced use of the featured prop with fully staged dances that are performed in the end of semester Hafla. Students must have had Package A & B and Short Course Zill to advance. Costumes are required to dance in the show and are the students responsibility.

  • FOLLOW THE LEADER ATS

    FOLLOW THE LEADER ATS

    Time: 7:00 pm
    

    You will learn the basic steps in a “follow the leader” format and how to how to apply them music. By the end of the session, all students will be able to do an improvisational dance using the steps they have learned. Classes are based on American Tribal Style (ATS) Belly Dance and are divided into Slow and Fast moves. No previous dance experience required! Wear comfortable workout clothes to class. This is the FAST MOVES package.

  • INTERMEDIATE FUSION

    INTERMEDIATE FUSION

    Time: 8:00 pm
    

    Each semester will focus on the joining of Belly Dance with a different style of dance, music or movement that could include props, floor work, and jumping. Classes focus on a fully staged dance that will be presented at the Hafla.

  • ADVANCED CHOREOGRAPHY CLASS

    ADVANCED CHOREOGRAPHY CLASS

    Time: 9:00 pm
    

    The Advanced Choreography Class is designed to challenge the dancer and improve technique to the professional level. Class may include Veil, Zills, Folkloric styles, and personal/professional level costumes that are the dancers responsibility. The dance learned in this class is preformed in the end of semester Hafla and other dance performances throughout the year. Students must have completed all basic and intermediate level classes and have instructor permission to attend.

      ATS LONG COURSE LEVEL II

      American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance is a modern style of dance created by Carolena Nericcio (FatChance BellyDance) in San Francisco, CA. ATS pulls from classic Egyptian style steps and folkloric dances of North Africa and India. It is best described as \"synchronized structured improvisation.\" ATS dancers use signals and cues which transition to other specific dance steps. In this fashion, the group can follow a lead dancer who is giving cues and leading the group to transition into a series of steps ... yes, it\'s a completely improvisational dance! ATS is not Tribal Fusion, it\'s not Cabaret, it\'s not Folkloric, it\'s an exciting style all it\'s own.

    • URBAN TRIBAL

      URBAN TRIBAL

      Time: 8:00 pm
      

      URBAN TRIBAL is taught at the Intermediate Level and has the same requirements as the Zill and Veil courses. The style of Tribal taught is \"Urban\" Tribal that uses belly dance, East Indian dance, Hip Hop, modern dance, and many other dance styles fused together in fully staged dances. Dances learned will be performed in end of semester Haflas.

      Drop Ins & Punch Cards Welcome!! $48 for 6 weeks. Drop in $10 per class (current students can take this call for only $40 for 6 weeks) Bring a Yoga mat. Don\'t take that stress from your work day home with you! This easy, user friendly class is designed to help you let go of the hassles of the day so you can enjoy your evening. Our Certified Hatha Yoga instructor, Piari Sohban, will gently guide you through each stretch at your level and demonstrate upper level stretches for those of you who have yoga experience. Drop ins welcome!
