Starts Feb. 4 5:15-6pm AFTER WORK DE-STRESS YOGA- Drop Ins & Punch Cards Welcome!! $48 for 6 weeks. Drop in $10 per class (current students can take this call for only $40 for 6 weeks) Bring a Yoga mat. Don't take that stress from your work day home with you! This easy, user friendly class is designed to help you let go of the hassles of the day so you can enjoy your evening. Our Certified Hatha Yoga instructor, Piari Sohban, will gently guide you through each stretch at your level and demonstrate upper level stretches for those of you who have yoga experience. Drop ins welcome! Drop in rate $10 per class.

BELLY DANCE FOR ADULTS LEVEL I

Basic Belly Dance technique will be taught, focusing on correct dance posture, strengthening movements for the legs, stomach, and arms. Belly Dance Level I is divided into two 6 week sessions, packages A & B, that focus on different movements each week and each session to make your dance experience more relaxed and fun. No dance experience is needed. Wear workout clothes to class such as yoga or sweat pants and a t shirt; no jeans or street clothes, and bear feet or soft soled dance shoes.

**NEW CLASS** Intermediate Level II will feature a cane dance this semester to help rising Advanced students perfect their dance skills and introduce them to one of the most popular folkloric styles of belly dance, the cane dance. Students must have instructor permission to advance and are responsible for their own costumes for the Halfa.

American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance is a modern style of dance created by Carolena Nericcio (FatChance BellyDance) in San Francisco, CA. ATS pulls from classic Egyptian style steps and folkloric dances of North Africa and India. It is best described as "synchronized structured improvisation." ATS dancers use signals and cues which transition to other specific dance steps. In this fashion, the group can follow a lead dancer who is giving cues and leading the group to transition into a series of steps ... yes, it's a completely improvisational dance! ATS is not Tribal Fusion, it's not Cabaret, it's not Folkloric, it's an exciting style all it's own.

A fun, low key way to introduce dance to ages 6-12. Bring your daughter, niece, grand daughter, neighbor or friends kid, and learn to belly dance. Its a great way to spend time with that special child in your life and learn something fun and new, too. Participants will learn a short dance and should wear workout style of clothes. $55 per couple

FAST MOVES-SESSION #2 Ever wanted to learn how to do those slow and snakey, cool moves that make a bellydancer so mysterious? Join us for an energetic, fun filled hour of bellydance as we focus on relaxing into the dance. Students will learn basic dance steps in a "follow the leader" dance format. By the end of the session, all students will be able to dance an improvisational choreography using the dance steps they have learned. Join us for an evening of dance and fun with an "Irish" theme. Bring a dish to share that's 'green' (green sugar sprinkles are just fine). And dancers wear your best green outfit. Anyone interested in performing in the Hafla, contact Janna at 757-871-7594. Dancers wanting to perform past choreography, there will be a rehearsal on March 11 at 8pm.
